AHIMA Member Rewards Points FAQ

Updated on

What are AHIMA Membership Rewards Points?

Membership Rewards Points is the system AHIMA uses to provide members with their free CEUs.

Where do I find my Reward Points?

When you go to the AHIMA Store, login using the login button in the upper right-hand corner of your navigation bar. If you are already logged in you will see “welcome” and your name in the upper right-hand corner of the navigation bar. Click the drop-down menu next to your name and select account and navigate to Rewards Points. This will provide you with a Rewards Points dashboard confirming the following:

  • Current balance

  • Available points and their expiration

  • History of points earned and redeemed

What are Reward Points worth?

Each Reward Point can be redeemed for one (1) eligible product. Please note that points have no cash value and are subject to availability and program limitations.

How do I earn Reward Points?

Points are awarded when you purchase eligible AHIMA membership products through the AHIMA Store. In some cases, you may also earn points automatically when your membership renews.

How do I redeem my points?

It’s easy! When you add an eligible product to your shopping cart, the system will notify you if Reward Points can be applied. You just need to have enough points in your account to cover the redemption.

Do my Reward Points expire?

Yes. Each point is valid for 365 days from the date it was issued. Once a point expires, it is automatically removed from your account and cannot be reinstated.

Which points are used first if I have several?

To help you get the most out of your rewards, the AHIMA Store automatically applies the points with the earliest expiration dates first.

Is there a limit to how many points I can have?

Yes, the maximum balance is 16 Reward Points. If you reach this limit, you won't earn any more points until you redeem some or until existing points expire.

Do my points reset when I renew my membership?

No. Your points continue to accumulate over time and will not reset just because you renew or buy a new membership, provided you stay under the 16-point
